Last night was a scary one for Penny.
She was rushed to the emergency vet after vomiting blood, and it quickly became clear something wasn’t right.

After exams, the vets believed Penny likely developed an ulcer related to medication prescribed after her spay surgery. She was diagnosed and sent home with medications and placed on a bland diet while her system begins to heal.

Knowing everything Penny has already been through, this was incredibly stressful for her foster family. All we want for Penny is to be safe, happy, and healthy, and watching her go through a medical scare was hard.

Today she was tired and spent most of the day resting and sleeping with her foster friends, surrounded by comfort and care.

We are also fundraising to help cover Penny’s emergency vet visit and medications from last night. Any support, whether donating or sharing, helps us continue to show up for dogs like Penny when they need us most. 💜
